—Fascia Perceptive Touch & Somatic Sessions
In my body-work sessions, I use a gentle touch and tidal motion to listen and observe the fascia's movement and your inner landscape. Perceiving deeply in the fascia, we sense into motion together, inviting the fascia and the volume of the body to respond, adapt, and transform from within. I may also use guided body scans, gentle somatic impulses, verbal reflections, body shaking/quaking, groove, and sacral movements.
My Experience
I have been a practicing body-worker for six years, originally trained in therapeutic touch in the Thai tradition and Pilates mat, I am also informed by somatic processing, somatic abolitionism, and movement improvisation. As a doula and dancer, I have years of study in anatomy, physiology, and somatics. I am studying fascia perceptive touch under the mentorship of Camalo Gaskin and have attended her Guardians of Intimacy: Fascia and Beyond intensive. Camalo is a trained educator and practitioner of Danis Bois Method Fascia therapy.
Fees & Pricing
I offer a sliding scale using the Green Bottle Method; from €20-€60/half hour, and am also open to exchanges. I am still learning and expanding my practice, so please reach out for a consultation or schedule a session directly here.
Somatic Sessions
As a somatic practitioner, I facilitate, reframe, and contextualize for both creative projects and individuals. I use my training in trauma support, power analysis, reparative practices, and embodied forms to support healing and integration in individual and collective bodies.
For individual sessions, we may speak and move through places of intense experiences or emotionally charged areas of your body. What are you holding in your body, and where are you keeping it? We use movement, body scans, ritual, and groove to move through stagnant or charged places in your body and spirit.
For collectives and groups, I use these same practices to place, perceive, and move through uncomfortable, stagnant, or painful collective experiences. Whether it be a specific harm or a culture that you want to collectively address and move through, I can support that process using facilitated dialogue, movement, play, and ritual.
About Fascia
Fascia is a global sensory organ serving as both connective and constitutive tissue. It is a unified environment, simultaneously holding and forming our body systems. Fascia is also a messenger, serving as our body’s internal mycelium network it is a dynamic communication system, interlinked with the neuro and hormonal systems. Fascia creates architecture within the body by enveloping, defining, and connecting body systems into one globality.
Fascial Perception
By giving attention and intentional presence to the fascia we can listen into the volume of the body. This perception facilitates movement, release, and understanding.
The movement of our fascia facilitates self-regulation and healing. As fascia moves to respond to emergent needs of the body it can encounter stagnation, tight or fibrotic tissues, and blockages. Through this touch and self-perception the fascia releases and optimizes its tone into structural balance.
“Strolling Under the Skin” video by Fascia researcher Jean-Claude Guimberteau reveals in real-time, the “microvacuolar fibrillar network” of our living gliding and sliding fascia.
