tidal bodies : reproductive somatics is a somatic community care and collective imagination practice and archive centering reproductive experiences and speculative futures. In the workshops and storytelling circles we imagine and re-imagine how to approach, share, and somatically engage with our personal and collective reproductive stories. We expand on these imaginings by offering and collecting somatic-based practices and documenting and archiving how individuals and communities use these speculative structures to nurture and sustain spaces for community care and movement building presently and into an uncertain future.
The project was initiated by Cristina Leoni-Osion and funded by The Collective Imagination Practice Fund. Two workshops were co-imagined and facilitated with Maddi Fuente Ubani in Berlin and two workshops will be co-imagined and co-facilitated with Christine C. Wyatt both virtually and in Richmond, Virginia. Monthly Abortion Storytelling Circles continue to take place in Berlin.
